Mackenzie Family Resource Network (MFRN) provides support and services to help families become resilient, strong and healthy. Networks deliver prevention and early intervention services and support for children and youth aged 0 to 18, as well as support for parents and caregivers.
Programming is designed to be family-centered, strength based and culturally appropriate.
FRNs offer online and digital support remotely to communities across Mackenzie County, as well as in person.
MFRN provides a range of services and supports that focus on strengthening parenting and caregiving knowledge, social support, coping and problem-solving skills, access to community support and resources, improving child and youth development, building resiliency and fostering well-being.
When parents need a helping hand, MFRN is here to support with parenting and caregiving knowledge, social supports, coping & problem-solving skills and access to community initiatives and resources.
ASQ
(Ages & Stages Questionnaire)
This month during Baby & Me we are learning about the Ages & Stages Questionnaire!
Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) provide reliable, accurate developmental and social-emotional screening for children 0-6. The ASQ has been designed to pinpoint developmental progress and catch delays in young children.
The Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) looks at children’s development in five key areas:
Communication Skills
Gross Motor Skills
Fine Motor Skills
Problem-Solving Skills
Personal-Social Skills
The Ages and Stages Social-Emotional Questionnaire (ASQ-SE)
Focuses exclusively on social and emotional development of your child. This refers to your child’s ability to interact with others and adapt to new and varying situations.
Parents and their children can participate in a simple screening online that captures their child's stages of development. The ASQ can be done online in the comfort of your home, or in-person at The Village with the support of a staff member.
You can find links to the ASQ3 and ASQ:SE here!
